About St Peters
Formerly known simply as “Monkey Hill” St Peters Parish is one of the few residential areas on the island that is exclusively inland. It is a rapidly developing area of St Kitts, off the main arterial highways that connect the Eastern and Western sides of Basseterre and the arterial road from the airport to the tourist area of Frigate Bay. As St Peters is in the process of development, we benefit from large, untouched expanses of land that synthesises with the spectacular mountain views.
Sugar City Studios is in the White House Gardens Estate area of St Peters which borders the neighbourhoods of Douglas Estate, Miliken, Cedar Grove and Stapleton. There is a view of Monkey Hill and the majestic Olivees Mountain to the west, the Canada Hills to the East, the hamlet of Stapleton to the North and the sea and the Seven Hills of the South East Peninsula, Nevis island and the calm waters of the Caribbean Sea to the South. There is a quintessential local village shop where you can get essentials and the nearest super and hypermarkets are a mere 5-10 mins drive away.
Sugar City Studios is 5 mins drive from the airport; 7 mins from the commercial centre of Basseterre; 20 mins from the South East Peninsula beaches; 10 minutes from the tourist centre of Frigate Bay. Local buses (Basseterre to St Peters) run until about midnight and charge a flat fare of $2.50XCD. Taxis can be pre-booked.
The rural environment of St Peters is quite unexpected given its proximity to the commercial centre of Basseterre. Nature lovers will enjoy the dancing butterflies, birdwatching and the daily parade of livestock that come to graze in the area. People who are used to cruising will deeply appreciate the blanket of verdant green that awaits them in St Peters.
Sugar City Studios is an oasis off the beaten track!
